Through my primary body of work I seek to enchant my viewers with wonderment by blending a delectable mixture of both Christian and Fantasy themes. I invite my audience into another world and wish to captivate them with a profound sense of mysticism. I aspire for them to experience a deep inner healing and peace. I have always been fascinated by fairytales and in the wonderment of the natural world and have worked continually with these elements since I was a child. In the beginning of the creative process I begin with watered down paint drips. I follow my intuition and my paintings unravel themselves to me revealing gifts for all. While some of my work has a very human element, I am intent on remaining in continual alignment with the Holy Spirit. My greatest Visionary experiences are in Eucharistic Adoration.

I draw from my spirit, emotions, feminine nature, childhood memories, dreams, and my unconscious as well as erosion and the past. I often display the empowering Goddess aspect of women as well as well as the burden they have historically carried. I am inspired by the experience I've had in my hometown - Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. I carry my spiritual and emotional life experiences to my painting.

My work sometimes incorporates fragmented translucent imagery which seems to float in and out of physical reality. The transparent watered-down paint that I use depicts my highly sensitive, emotional, and spiritual self. Other objects in my work tend to be more solid and physically present indicating my awareness of the physical aspect of living in a concrete world. Occasionally I work from extreme emotional, physical, and primitive states which add a more raw, tactile, and visceral depth in my work.

In particular I'm inspired by Art Nouveau artists such as Mucha, pre-Raphaelite painters like J.W. Waterhouse, and Victorian fairy painters such as John Anster Fitzgerald. I am intrigued by Gothic and Victorian designers such as Gaudi and Lalique, and moved by Visionary/Fantasy artists such as Brian Froud and Hildegard Von Bingen.
